The Baldwin marching band finished fourth in their division at the PIMBA Championship competition on Saturday at Gateway High School.
The band competed against Burrell, Gateway, and Fox Chapel in the AA division.
The band earned a score of 81.75, one of their top scores for the season. The highest score the band had earned this season was 82.725 at a competition that Baldwin hosted recently.
Senior Emma Smerbeck said the Championships went well on Saturday.
“It was super windy, but we still sounded really good,” Smerbeck said.
Baldwin’s routine could have been cleaner, she said, adding that “We got docked points for technique.”
Junior Jonathan Pickell stood out during his solo.
“He always knows what he’s doing,” Smerbeck said.
After their performance, the band got to watch other routines before waiting on their placement to be announced.
“All of them were really together as an ensemble,” Smerbeck said.
