The Baldwin Valorant esports teams defeated Divine Savior Academy, from Florida, 2-0 on Tuesday.
The score of the first game was 13-3 and the second was 13-6.
The Highlanders had numerous positive takeaways from the game.
“We played very well as a team and had excellent communication,” sophomore Joseph Maiers said.
Sophomore Ben Neuhaus was among the players who stood out, Maiers said.
“Ben Neuhaus had a great match and was keeping the team together throughout the match,” Maiers said.
The Highlanders look to build off the win with some improvements going into their next match.
“Our runouts and attacks on-site need to be cleaned up a little bit for the next match,” Maiers said.
The team’s next match is Tuesday. The team they will play has not yet been decided.
