Riley Green’s third album, Don’t Mind If I Do, which is released today, again showcases the storytelling ability that is so loved by many of his fans.
The album starts off with the slower song “That’s A Mistake.” It is bound to become one of his signature songs, telling a story about losing a special girl that was special and making many other mistakes in life.
Other songs, such as “Chip Of The Ol’ Block,” still have his storytelling aspect, but have more guitar and drumming, speeding up the pace of the song.
“Too Early To Drink” and “Worst Way” are the slowest songs on the album, but they have good meanings behind them.
There are two features in this album: Luke Bryan features in the song “Reel Problems” and Ella Langley features in “Don’t Mind If I Do.”
Green’s first album, Different ‘Round Here, was released in 2019, and has similar aspects of storytelling running through its songs, often focusing on love. However, with his new release, fans can tell Green has grown as an artist and songwriter.
Longtime fans of Green should be enthusiastic about this new release, and they will enjoy the listening experience.
