Baldwin boys soccer lost to Thomas Jefferson 5-1 on Saturday.
Junior Gavin Ries thought the Highlanders have some things to work on.
“Something that the team can improve on is still scoring more goals to hold the lead and playing the full 80-minute game by not slowing down,” Ries said.
Senior Anthony DiCesaro scored for Baldwin during the second half, drawing the Highlanders close at 2-1. Ries also thought junior Alex Weber performed well during the game.
“Alex Weber was a beast in the midfield, winning balls and getting the ball up the field,” Ries said.
Overall, Baldwin had some strong moments.
“Something the team did well was moving the ball great in the first half of the game and creating scoring opportunities,” Ries said.
Baldwin looks to bounce back with a win against West Allegheny today at 7:30 p.m. at home.
