The 2020 collab album called Alfredo, by Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist, is a near perfect album.
The album features Gibbs’s rapping and The Alchemist’s masterful beat production. This album is the pinnacle of quality over quantity, as every one of its 10 tracks is good.
With just a 35-minute run time, it is easy to listen to.
The intro song is called “1985” and has an amazing beat created by The Alchemist. The song also has great flow throughout from Gibbs, so it starts off the album strong.
The best song on the album is “Something to Rap About” featuring Tyler the Creator. Both rappers have excellent verses on the song, and the Alchemist carries his weight with an amazing chill beat. Tyler the Creator is the best feature artist on the album.
If there had to be a weak track, it would be “Frank Lucas,” featuring Benny the Butcher. While this song is nowhere near bad, the verses from Freddie Gibbs and Benny the Butcher aren’t as good as those on the rest of the album.
