Lil Tecca adds another great album to his growing discography with Plan A.
This is another classic Tecca album with upbeat flows, rhymes, and few features. The only feature on this album comes from Don Toliver in “I Can’t Let Go.” Toliver complements Tecca on this song with his high-pitched tone of rapping and singing.
Another plus about this album is how well the beats go with Tecca’s flow and style of rap. This album is well produced and that is partly because Tecca has been with the same producers for most of his rap career. They have picked up on his flow and which beats fit him best.
Tecca released an album last year around the same time of year. This could be a sign of Tecca heating up and staying more consistent, since the last album he dropped prior to Tec in 2023 was in 2021.
Some of the best songs on this album are “Taste” and “Self2Self.” Both of these songs are reminiscent of the version of Tecca from 2018-2019, when he dropped We Love You Tecca. That was the best version of Tecca, but he has still been hanging around in the rap game hoping to break through again.
One of the downsides of this album is that some of the songs sound the same. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, considering that this is one of Tecca’s best albums in his young rap career.
