Baldwin’s boys and girls cross country teams placed fourth and sixth respectively in Tuesday’s section meet.
The boys team beat five teams and lost to three. Ryan Priano, captain of the team, is a senior on his third year of varsity, and his sixth year overall.
“It went really well for me and the team,” Priano said. “Everyone showed a lot of improvement.”
Sophomore Nathan Chardello has particularly improved greatly, he said.
“He was running a lot ahead, and now he’s on varsity,” Priano said.
The girls team beat two teams and lost to six. Kenzie Bowen is a varsity player in her second year for cross country.
“The course itself was muddy, but the girls side was good and pushed through the weather,” Bowen said.
Junior Molly Gorman stood out among the girls on the team, she said.
“Molly Gorman had a really good race,” Bowen said.
