The Baldwin boys soccer team lost 5-1 to Chartiers Valley on Tuesday.
Junior defender Zach Lieu said that Baldwin needs to improve on technique.
“We need to work on finishing and scoring,” he said.
Lieu said that Chartiers Valley did well in finishing their goals.
“They scored a bunch and moved the ball really well,” he said.
Junior Alex Weber, one of the team captains, said Highlanders need to work on their defense.
On a positive note, Lieu said Baldwin played better after halftime.
“The second half we had good ball movement,” he said.
Some Highlanders had good games individually. Lieu and Weber both credited senior defenseman Will Penrod.
“He’s one of the captains of the team and he leads really well and is very motivating,” he said.
The team plays again at home 7 p.m. Thursday against Blackhawk.
