The WNBA semifinals feature four incredibly talented teams that should produce two exciting competitions.
The remaining teams are the Las Vegas Aces, New York Liberty, Connecticut Sun, and Minnesota Lynx. All of these teams were successful throughout the season and made it through the first round, setting up some big matchups in this round.
The first two teams that are playing against each other are Las Vegas and New York. Both teams feature some star players: A’Ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum on the Aces, and Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart on the Liberty.
The Aces’ season record was 27-13 while the Liberty’s record was 32-8. These two teams match up well, and they should have close games throughout the round. New York should win, though, because they have beaten Las Vegas every time they have played against each other, though the scores were close.
The next two teams playing against each other are Connecticut and Minnesota. Connecticut has Alyssa Thomas and Marina Mabrey, while Minnesota features Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith.
Though these teams might not be as popular with many newer fans, they are very talented. Connecticut beat Indiana Fever, featuring Caitlin Clark, and Minnesota beat Phoenix, with Britney Griner, to get into the semifinals.
Though both teams are talented and well-rounded, Minnesota is favored and has a higher seed.
These games are going to be close, but the final two are favored to be the Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty.
