Supernatural is a horror and comedy series about two brothers going across the country hunting supernatural and mystical creatures.
The brothers, Sam and Dean, spend their time hunting different creatures from a multitude of mythologies and cultures, and they meet different allies along the way. After their father disappears, they set out to find him, while helping small towns plagued by evil spirits, demons, and other creatures of lore.
The show shows the viewers creatures from a range of cultures, some from Native-American through Chinese. It takes the viewers all over the country.
While Sam and Dean battle the paranormal, they also have to learn how to work together, which is difficult because they have extremely different personalities.
The show has plenty of twists throughout the series. Each new season or two, the brothers face a new challenge. Just when viewers think the show is getting too predictable, another secret or surprise is revealed.
It has a good balance of both horror and comedy, which makes the jumpscares easier to deal with.
The show aired in 2005 and ended in 2020, for a run of 15 continuous seasons.
