The Baldwin girls soccer team lost to Upper St. Clair on Wednesday night, 6-0.
Senior Ryley Shaw said USC played well on offense.
“They did well on their corner kicks along with their throw-ins. That gave them an early advantage,” Shaw said.
She said one area for possible improvement for the Highlanders is the midfield.
“We can improve on marking in the midfield more,” Shaw said
Despite the loss Shaw saw some bright spots to build on.
“We kept our energy up throughout despite being down,” Shaw said.
Shaw noticed the impressive play of freshman Reagan Aston-Reese on defense, who “was all over the field.”
Freshman goalkeeper Evelyn Johnson had a key save.
“Evelyn made a great save early in the second half to give us some hope,” Shaw said.
The Highlanders hope to snap their four-game losing streak at home on Monday against Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 p.m.
