The Baldwin boys soccer team lost to Moon Area High School 9-0 on Tuesday.
The team struggled on both sides of the ball throughout the game.
“We need to improve on the middle dropping back to help with defense,” senior Maxwell Pegher said.
Senior William Penrod said the team needs to improve on offense as well.
“We need to learn how to play simpler and connect our passes,” Penrod said.
Moon played a strong game, Penrod said.
“They were solid in the midfield and were able to move the ball around to create scoring opportunities,” Penrod said.
Despite the loss, several Highlanders had strong games.
“Will Penrod dropped back well and did a good job supporting our outside backs,” Pegher said.
Penrod recognized some of his other teammates who played well.
“Anthony DiCesaro and Jack Reichl both played all-round good games,” Penrod said.
The team’s next game is against Montour at home on Thursday.
