The girls volleyball team shut out Bethel Park at senior rec on Thursday.
The Highlanders won the first set 25-16, the second 25-18, and the last 25-15.
Junior Reese Temme said the girls played well.
“We had great defense,” Temme said. “We also had good connection in the front row.”
Temme said junior Mia Wyse had a particularly strong game.
“Mia had some key digs in the back row,” Temme said.
For the girls senior recognition night, they held a small ceremony before the game and a team dinner after the game.
Temme is glad the team could secure a win for their seniors, Avery Barrett and Kaylee Smolko.
“We played great for our special seniors,” Temme said. “The team dinner after was an amazing bonding experience.”
The team’s overall record is 3-3 and 1-2 in the section.
The team plays next at Peters on Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
