The boys soccer team fell to Ambridge 4-3 on Tuesday.
Senior Max Pegher said the Highlanders put up a good fight.
“Defensively, we did very well at clearing the ball,” Pegher said.
Baldwin was up during the first half of the game 2-1, but after Ambridge got a penalty kick, the game turned in their favor. Following the kick, Baldwin was able to score again, but Ambridge continued to pull ahead of them.
Ambridge performed well throughout the entire game, Pegher said.
“They did well capitalizing on our mistakes,” he said.
Senior Will Penrod stood out, picking up an assist within the first 10 minutes of the game by clearing the ball out to senior Chris Sandy, who was able to score.
The team looks to work on finishing their opportunities to score. Their next game is at West Allegheny on Thursday.
