Multiple assassins come after the best hitman in Europe, leaving him to fight all of them alone, in the comedic action movie Killer’s Game.
The story focuses on Joe Flood (David Bautista), the top hitman in Europe, who has to fight off worldwide assassins. Joe is Europe’s top hitman, having done various jobs.
He meets his love interest, Maize, mid-job. He gets close to her, but he gets diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, leaving him with three months to live.
He hires a contract hit on himself because he doesn’t want to suffer. He also wants to leave her with his life insurance, which wouldn’t happen if the death was deemed suicide.
One minute before the contract begins, he receives a call from his doctor stating that the results were wrong. He rushes to cancel the hit, but his contractor won’t let him, leaving him to fight off multiple hitmen from around the globe.
The movie’s fight scenes are great, although they are a bit gory. Also, there are unrealistic parts in the story, such as Joe stopping a dirt bike going 30 miles per hour by raising his leg. The story isn’t the best either, getting rushed towards the end.
Even though there are flaws, Bautista carries this movie with his funny jokes and good acting. He is the perfect person to act as a brawny hitman.
The movie is good, making up for the flaws in its story through good acting, humor, and fight scenes.
