The Baldwin golf team lost 208-198 to Mt. Lebanon on Thursday.
Junior Gavin Sakely said the team needs to be more consistent around the green.
“Our chipping definitely needs to be better. If we chip better, we will end up putting better,” Sakely said
Sakely said that he is capable of more.
“I feel like I can do more for the team. I need to put more shots closer to the hole and on the green,” Sakely said.
Lebo was very consistent all around.
“There were little to no holes in their game. They all played well,” Sakely said.
Although the Highlanders lost, Sakely said sophomore Mikey Quallich played well.
“Mikey had a good day, shooting a team best 37. He stayed locked in through all nine holes,” Sakely said.
Another plus for the Highlanders was their ability to find fairways off of the tee.
“Everyone was solid off the tee. Our tee shots prevented us from losing by a lot more,” Sakely said.
The Highlanders hope to snap their three-game losing streak today against Bethel Park at Nemacolin Golf Club.
