Baldwin girl’s soccer lost 2-0 to Upper Saint Clair on Wednesday.
While the team played well defensively, they lacked offense.
“I think our team locked down on defense and stopped a lot of USC’s scoring opportunities,” senior Mia Beardsley said. “Evelyn Johnson, our goalkeeper, made some great saves.”
Beardsley thinks the Highlanders could benefit from improving their offensive attack.
The team did well at keeping their thoughts collected throughout the match, senior Annabelle Herrle said. With the Panthers being a top competitor, Baldwin put up a good fight throughout the game.
The Panthers, meanwhile, were able to find openings and then get to the ball.
Before the upcoming games, the Highlanders plan to improve their communication when handling the ball.
“We need to communicate the entire game, considering how fast it moves,” Herrle said.
The next game is on Saturday at home against Hempfield.
