The Baldwin girls tennis team won 4-1 over Plum on Tuesday.
Junior Cayleigh Fitzurka said everyone did well individually and supported each other.
“We cheer each other on and we are good at communicating at practices, which helps in matches,” she said.
She said junior Chelsea Luxemburger and senior Julia Johnson were standouts. Luxemburger agreed.
“We both did really well. Personally I did really well with a variety of different hits,” Luxemburger said.
The team had started their season off with a loss earlier, but this victory gives them hope for a good season.
“It gives me the confidence that we are going to do great for the rest of the season,” Luxemburger said.
The team’s next match is Thursday at home against Allerdice.
