Noah Kahan brought an interactive and exciting concert to Pittsburgh on Wednesday with new additions to his setlist and a dynamic performance.
Star Lake Pavillion was completely sold out and Kahan used this to his advantage. The crowd sang along and danced to every song, and there were many interactions between him and the fans.
During one of the set changes, Kahan read fan signs and spoke to the crowd in a manner that more resembled a stand-up comic than a singer. The set on stage was more complex than concerts of this genre typically are, with changing sets, lights, and even fake snow and leaves that fell from the pavilion.
During one of the set changes, Kahan read fan signs and spoke to the crowd in a manner that more resembled a stand-up comic than a singer. These interactions really put Kahan’s ability to play the crowd at the forefront.
During the song “Strawberry Wine,” he sang from a small stage amongst the crowd, and the crowd reciprocated by putting on their flashlights for the entire song.
Outside of the interactions with the crowd, the entire concert was a good mix of his slower songs and danceable radio hits, so there was something for every fan to enjoy.
He added new songs to his setlist that he had not played much at previous concerts on this tour, like “God Light,” “Strawberry Wine,” and “Orange Juice.”
He also took opportunities to show off his vocals with fun note changes and an acoustic section of the show.
Overall, Kahan used this concert to show his showmanship and his vocal talent.
