Abba’s fourth album, Arrival, is immensely underrated.
Abba is a Swedish ’70s pop band, primarily known for their song “Dancing Queen.” Their music was popularized in the modern world by the Mamma Mia franchise, which is two movie-musicals made using only Abba songs.
The band consisted of two married couples before the group’s breakup in 1982: Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus, as well as Benny Anderson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. Both couples got divorced soon before the band’s break up.
The Arrival album features “Dancing Queen.” However, it also includes less frequently discussed hits, such as “Money, Money, Money” and “Why Did It Have to Be Me?”
The album, as with most of Abba’s other music, has very upbeat instrumentals as well as great lyrics.
However, there are some slower songs that focus more primarily on lyrics. These include “My Love, My Life” and “Knowing Me, Knowing You.”
Overall, Arrival has many exceptional songs that are great for a variety of moods. Arrival, like the band’s other albums, deserves more attention.
