Baldwin’s softball team beat Butler 10-5 on Tuesday night.
Sophomore centerfield Reese Temme said the team executed many of their plays well
“We made the plays that we were supposed to and we did very well fielding,” she said.
Temme said the team improved their batting, and their hits were well executed and timely. Junior Riley Shaw, who plays second base, had a great night, going five for five at the plate.
However, Temme said Baldwin struggled to adjust to some of the calls. Also, Butler had some good hits of their own, she said.
Despite not making playoffs, Temme said the team is still looking at the positives of the season.
“We’ve definitely had our ups and downs and it’s tough that we won’t make playoffs, but we will end on a high note and keep pushing for positives next year.”
Baldwin plays another home game against Butler tonight at 6 p.m.
