Girls lacrosse lost to North Hills 17-5 at home on Monday in the senior rec game.
While the Highlanders had some decent plays, they were bested by North Hills.
“I think our transitions need work, but they were a lot better than a lot of our other games,” junior Addison Giglione said.
Giglione credited her team for being able to move the ball up the field, but sees room for improvement.
“We’ll drive, but then we don’t know what to do once we get in the danger zone of the defense,” she said. “We need to work on slowing the game down.”
The game got off to a rough start, with Baldwin being down 9-0 at the end of the first quarter.
“We got a little greedy on some of our drives, but we started working well around the middle of the game,” she said.
As the game went on, the Highlanders were able to score a few goals, but ultimately they could not recover and lost the match.
Their next game will be at home against Mt. Lebanon 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
