The baseball team lost 11-1 to Canon-Mac on Thursday.
Senior Adam Ledbetter was upset with the game, as the Highlanders only managed two hits.
“We know we are far from the playoffs,” Ledbetter says. “But we cannot just look like we are giving up out there.”
Freshman Matt Musial hit a sac fly to score Ledbetter for their only run of the game. Junior Gavin Gutendorf started the game and pitched three innings, allowing six runs.
Senior Jack Naret said he hopes that the team can turn things around for the final games.
“We want to be the team that is able to knock out some teams out of the playoffs,” Naret said. “We do not want to be looked at as an easy win for these teams.”
The team is 0-11 in section and 1-14 overall. The Highlanders play next on Monday against Mt. Lebanon at 4 p.m. at home.
