The Baldwin boys lacrosse team struggled against Norwin on Monday night, losing 18-0.
The Highlanders could not contain Norwin’s strong offense in the first half.
“They were super strong with their off-ball movement and they were able to get their cutters open for easy goals,” junior Gavin Serafini said.
The Highlanders also faced injuries prior, and during the game.
“We were missing many of our key players before the game even started due to injury, and Cody (Garrett) went down late in the third quarter, which definitely did not help us,” Pacella said.
Despite the tough loss, hopes are still high for the future games
“We have a lot of beginner players who are still understanding the game, and once they gain more experience, our team should be more promising,” junior Cenzo Pacella said.
Serafini credited Pacella’s efforts in the game.
“Cenzo did a really good job of running the ball down on our clears,” he said.
Serafini also said junior Dom Brown did well on faceoffs.
“Dom won many faceoffs against a guy who is going to college for lacrosse to be their designated faceoff taker, so it was really impressive to see,” Serafini said.
The boys still are on the look for a win as they play Hempfield at home on Thursday.
