Baldwin’s softball team lost to Norwin 11-9 on Monday, and they won against Pine-Richland 7-6 on Tuesday.
Against Pine-Richland, sophomore Kenzie Bowen said the team was playing well defensively and offensively to help secure the win. She said sophomore Jordan Gerendash and junior Gabby Jaquay played particularly well.
“Jordan had a solo home run to win us the game offensively, and Gabby played solid at third to help us win the game defensively,” Bowen said.
Against Norwin, Gerendash and sophomore Avery Herrington hit home runs.
“We did well in hitting and responding to their hits. Previously we didn’t hit as well, and now we are starting to get more,” she said.
Senior Anna Schumacher did well on the pitcher’s mound against both teams, Bowen said.
“Anna did amazing on the mound by keeping us in the game. This was her sixth game in seven days with little rest. She definitely has kept us in all the games we have been playing,” she said.
The team’s next game is at 5 p.m. today away against North Allegheny.
