The boys tennis team lost to Shadyside Academy Thursday, 5-0.
Senior Kismat Bista believes the match provided a good opportunity for the team to see what they should improve on as the season winds down.
“We need to improve our serving overall and do less double-faulting when we serve,” Bista said.
Bista thought that sophomore Nikita Petruk had an especially strong performance.
“Nikita did well at returning and finding angles to place the ball where opponents couldn’t get to it,” Bista said.
Despite the undesirable result, Bista acknowledged the team’s positive attitude throughout the match.
“We still stayed positive and uplifted each other despite the tough game,” Bista said.
The loss brings the team’s record to 0-8.
Their next match is today at home against Norwin.
