The boys volleyball team beat Bethel Park 3-0 last Thursday.
Senior Rohan Bhattarai said the team had consistent energy throughout the match.
“We didn’t have any dropoffs. We were able to control our emotions and our energy. Our mental game was on point,” Bhattarai said.
Bhattarai said his teammates sophomore Brayden Gremba and senior Bibeak Bhujel played particularly well during the game.
“Offensively, Gremba used the block really well. Defensively, Bibeak did great in the back row. He was a beast,” Bhattarai said.
Senior Durwin Fuller agreed that Bhujel had a great game.
“Bibeak was the player of the game. He played great defense throughout the whole match. It was a big help,” Fuller said.
Fuller believes that the team had an especially strong offense throughout the game.
“Our hitting and attacking were really good. They definitely were some of the reasons we won,” Fuller said.
Bhattarai said that the team still has some adjustments to make.
“Starting off strong is important, and so is not letting up,” Bhattarai said.
Fuller also agrees that the team could still improve.
“Overall, this game showed us that we need to get better at blocking,” Fuller said.
The boys’ next game is away on Tuesday against Peters Township.
