Rich Gang’s Tha Tour Part 1 is a mediocre typical mixtape from middle-age rappers about played-out topics such as money, females, and nights in the club. The mixtape lacks effort and actual work from rappers Young Thug, Birdman, and Rich Homie Quan. Whose idea was it to have all of these talentless, past-their-prime rappers on one mixtape? In addition, on certain songs it’s close to impossible to understand what the rappers are saying. “See You” is a prime example. It sounds like a grown man crying on the mic. Lyrics and relevance are lacking on Tha Tour Part 1. The beats used on the songs, however, are genius, and show more than standard effort. If the mixtape was just instrumentals it would’ve earned five stars easily. The beat for the song “War Ready” overpowers the lyrics significantly. But lyrically, if this is all it takes today to be a successful rapper, anyone can do it.
