The Baldwin boys volleyball team defeated Thomas Jefferson 3-1 on Friday.
The team had many positive takeaways from the big win.
“We played a great defensive game. It felt like no ball was hitting the ground,” sophomore Alex Kelly said.
Sophomore Brayden Gremba was also happy with the outcome.
“It was a great game. I actually think we should have beat them faster because they were not a very strong team,” Gremba said.
Multiple Highlanders stood out during the match.
“Anay Rai had a great defensive game with seven digs in crucial moments,” Kelly said.
Kelly’s performance was also noticed by his teammate.
“Alex Kelly had a very good overall game. He played well in all areas,” Gremba said.
Going into the next game, the team looks to improve on keeping the ball in play with good contact, Kelly said.
Their next game is today against Keystone Oaks in a non-section game.
