The Fighting Highlanders baseball team lost against Upper Saint Clair on Monday, 15-3.
“USC hit very well and played an overall good game,” senior Dylan Lacher said.
The game started with senior Kurt Maiden on the mound, who gave up five runs in the first inning.
“We need to be better, especially me. The game (tomorrow) should give me a chance to improve on what happened yesterday,” Maiden said.
Still, some Baldwin players had a little bit of success.
Senior Adam Ledbetter went two for three on the plate with two singles, and junior Matt Nowicki went two for three with a single and double.
Fielding also went pretty well for Baldwin, with few errors.
Lacher said the team can improve in other areas.
“We need to improve on pitching and situational hitting,” Lacher said.
Baldwin hopes to shake this off and get back to play at noon Wednesday away against Butler.
