The boys lacrosse lost to North Hills on Saturday, 13-2.
Junior Cenzo Pacella thought the team could have had a better chance at winning if they had better communication on defense. The North Hills team was skilled at sending cutters through Baldwin’s defense.
“I think the team played defense well, but we could have done better when communicating,” Pacella said.
Junior Gavin Serafini said the team needs to work on all facets of the game.
“We could’ve played better defense and offense,” Serafini said. “They just played better offense than us overall.”
Among Baldwin’s positive moments, Serafini and sophomore Nate Buys improved their game, Pacella said.
“I personally thought Gavin and Nate did very well. Handling that pressure was tough,” Pacella said. “Buys came in and stepped up by bringing his all and just being a team player.”
Buys said he still needs to work on ball control and agility.
“I think I could have improved on the control of the ball and how fast I am running with it,” Buys said.
The team’s next game is at 7 p.m. today at home against South Fayette.
