The Baldwin boys volleyball team lost to South Fayette 3-0 on Friday in their first match of the season.
Sophomore Brayden Gremba said the games were close and the team played well.
“Every set was pretty close: 25-18, 25-21, and 25-21,” Gremba said. “Our serve receive and overall defense was good throughout the match.”
While the Highlanders stayed consistent with their defense, South Fayette matched it.
“They made almost minimal to no errors during the match,” Gremba said.
Given that it was the first game of the season, the team has many skills that they can improve on.
“We just need to work hard during practice, and practice like how we would play an actual match,” Gremba said, “We also just need more experience on the court.”
Gremba believes he had a good match, but still could make improvements.
“I thought that I had a good game, but there is still room for improvement so that I can be consistent in every match throughout the season,” Gremba said.
The Highlanders will match up against Norwin at home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
