The Baldwin ice hockey team lost 4-1 to Cathedral Prep on Thursday night.
“I think we played hard and got a lot of shots on net,” sophomore Mack Dempsey said.
Junior Logan Cramer scored Baldwin’s goal during a penalty kill.
Despite that Baldwin shorthanded goal, Dempsey said Cathedral Prep did well on their power play.
“Cathedral Prep’s power play was really good and they moved the puck really well too,” Dempsey said
Along with Cramer, senior Tanner Plinta and junior Gabe Herrle played well, sophomore Nate Buys said.
“Tanner Plinta and Gabe Herrle had a good game. They had good shots on net and they were physical,” Buys said.
Even though the Highlanders lost, Buys still saw some positives.
“We had good possession of the puck and got decent shots up, but we just couldn’t score,” Buys said.
Dempsey also said that Baldwin played well.
“I think we played hard and got a lot of shots on net,” Dempsey said
The team is now 1-15-2 and is eliminated from the playoffs.
Their next game is at 9 p.m Thursday against Upper St. Clair at Ice Castle.
