The Baldwin girls basketball team fell to Mt. Lebanon in overtime on Thursday night, 57-46.
The Highlanders had a lead at the beginning of the game. But after halftime, Lebo went on a run and took the lead.
The teams went back and forth, and the score was tied at 41-41 at the end of regulation, sending the game into overtime.
Junior Mary Vargo said Baldwin played together throughout the game.
“We pushed in and transitioned,” Vargo said. “We stayed together the whole game.”
Sophomore Isabella Niles had a huge game, shooting two three-pointers back to back, Vargo said.
Lebo took the win due to their pressure and rebounds, she said. Following the loss, Vargo said the team needs to work on keeping the energy up throughout the game.
This was the Highlanders’ third loss in a row. The team’s overall record is now 8-9.
The next game is on Monday at home at 7:30 p.m. against Chartiers Valley.
