Kid Cudi’s Insano brings more electronic sounds and plenty of collaborations, yet it does not represent the rapper’s best work.
Cudi’s ninth studio album definitely brings the same type of energy that his other albums do. The rapper is known for the electronic style and sounds that he has shown throughout all of the albums and solos he has released.
Insano was announced a while ago, and fans were pretty excited to hear what was in store, although it ended up getting pushed back to the second week of January.
The album provides a plethora of new collaborations as well as old ones, such as Travis Scott.
A decent number of the songs feature at least one artist, which may be too many considering that the album has 21 songs total.
Despite that large number of songs, the album feels almost incomplete. Though there are a lot of various sounds and features, some of the songs feel empty. A deluxe set is to be released soon with even more songs, but this album seems lacking.
This may not be Cudi’s best work, considering the various hits he has already made. But it is nice to hear new music and collaborations with other artists.
