The boys and girls swimming teams lost at Plum on Thursday.
Senior Dylan Lubarski said the loss helped the team identify ways to improve.
“I think the biggest thing we need to work on is our sprints and flip turns. If we want to be more successful, we have to practice those things more,” Lubarski said.
Lubarski was not surprised by the loss, since the team’s lack of swimmers puts them at a competitive disadvantage at many meets.
“They just have greater numbers than we do, which allowed them to get more points. It’s hard to compete with that,” Lubarski said.
Lubarski said junior Chloe Griffiths had an especially strong performance in the 200 medley relay event.
“Chloe swam great and was able to catch up and beat the other team,” Lubarski said.
Lubarski thinks that the team did a good job at not letting the results impact their performance.
“We were able to keep a positive attitude despite the results,” Lubarski said.
The team’s next meet is Monday at home against Mt. Lebanon.
