Baldwin gymnastics defeated North Hills during their meet on Thursday night.
Senior Katie O’Neill and junior Abby Rexrode said the girls did well on bars and vault.
“We all competed well on bars. It was a good event. We also made some improvements from last week,” Rexrode said.
Rexrode said that Annabelle Herrle in particular stood out during the meet.
“She overall had a great meet. She completed a solid beam routine and scored high,” Rexrode said.
Despite the win, O’Neill said the team needs to make improvements.
“We need to improve on not letting the nerves get to us – especially on beam. We just need to get up there and do what we practice without freaking out,” O’Neill said.
Both girls agreed that the meet was expected to go better than it did.
“We had some little mistakes and deductions that do not usually happen,” Rexrode said.
The team competes Saturday at Moon Area High School at 7:45 am.
