The Baldwin girls basketball team fell to Canon-McMillan, 58-34, on Tuesday.
Senior Katie Lucarelli said the team communicated well and had some strong performances from standout players like juniors Janelle Norman and Libby Michalski and freshman Kelsey Meyers.
“Janelle did really well on defense and getting rebounds,” Lucarelli said.
Sophomore Jules Ott said both Michalski and Meyers “helped us offensively by hitting shots and swinging the ball to get open looks.”
However, Lucarelli said that the girls can work on their defense.
“The team can improve in working the ball and not letting the other team get up on us,” Lucarelli said.
Ott believes that the team has significantly improved.
“I think the team has gotten better since the first game. We are now finding chemistry on the court,” Ott said.
The girls currently have a section record of 0-5. Their next game is at Bethel Park on Friday at 6 p.m.
