The girls and boys swim teams won their meets against Trinity on Wednesday.
Senior Daniella Rigby said the two Highlander teams had great meets.
“I was very happy with our performance. The whole team overall did very well. I got first place in my 50 freestyle, so that was a memorable moment of the meet for me. All of our relay swimmers did very well too,” Rigby said.
Senior Kameron Locy was also happy about the win.
“I think the team did well on the relays, and the swimmer who stood out to me the most last night was freshman Rajeh Daghlas, who placed third place in his section.”
Rigby also complimented the performances of senior Evan Stokes and junior Nathaniel McWilliams.
“I thought Nathaniel McWilliams did a really good job in the 500 freestyle, and Evan Stokes had a really good performance in his 100 butterfly,” Rigby said.
The teams’ next meet will be against Carrick at home on Thursday.
