ARK: Survival Ascended is a remastered version of its 2015 predecessor, ARK: Survival Evolved, which improves most of the previous game’s flaws.
For context, ARK is an immersive open-world survival game created by Studio Wildcard in which the player, a survivor created on a harsh, prehistoric island, has to learn to interact with their environment and tame prehistoric creatures to survive.
Graphically, the game is run on Unreal Engine 5 with stunning visuals compared to the first game. They create an immersive experience for any player.
In terms of gameplay, Ascended provides features that the first game did not offer, such as more attention to detail in the game’s environment, better audio quality, and more customization of the survivors and the world around them.
However, with its highly advanced features and graphics, the game does not run well on most computers and consoles, making most dedicated players of the first game frustrated.
Additionally, Studio Wildcard fails to communicate with its consumers well, and the game has been delayed for consoles several times.
If the game can be optimized for all players to enjoy its fantastic features, then it will definitely be a game worth playing for anyone who enjoys playing survival games.
