The Baldwin Valorant esports team shut out Upper Saint Clair 2-0 victory on Tuesday.
The win marked the Highlanders’ fourth in a row. For Tuesday’s win, the team continued to build off of their momentum with several positive takeaways.
“We did a good job entering the sites and playing off of each other really well,” senior Alexander Kearney said. “It was just overall good teamwork on our end and got us a win.”
Kearney noted how freshman Logan Dodds played a pivotal role in the team’s composition and execution.
“Logan took space well … and was able to eliminate numerous enemy combatants when we needed him to,” Kearney said.
Even with their momentum, Kearney said the team still needs to practice in more ranked games and the practice range before their next match.
The team looks to get their fifth straight win against Belle Vernon later this week.
