In their first game of the season, the Baldwin esports Rocket League team won 3-2 against West Mifflin on Wednesday.
Freshman Ethan Green said he was happy with his team’s performance during the match.
“Our team did well on the attack. West Mifflin’s team was pretty good, but we often overpowered their defense,” Green said.
The match was a best-of-five series played in a three-on-three format.
Green feels that the match sets a good tone for the season going forward.
“This match is a good start for us. Last year the varsity team went to Bridgeville for the finals. I’m hopeful that we can do that again this year,” Green said.
Overall, Green is happy with the outcome and hopes the trend will continue.
“I think overall we played well, and I’m hoping we can carry forward our good start next week,” Green said.
The team’s next game is Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. against Bishop Carroll.
