Boys soccer lost to Lebo on Thursday night, 7-0.
Junior Anthony DiCesaro said everyone did their best, considering that the team was fighting through injuries.
“There isn’t a kid on the team that you could say didn’t leave it out on the field,” he said.
The last time they played Mt. Lebo, the boys only lost 2-0, so the team was going into the game with high hopes. But while Baldwin was struggling through injuries, Lebo remained strong, which gave them an advantage.
“With key players out with injuries and key players coming back from injuries, we were just surprised by Lebo,” DiCesaro said.
The boys are hopeful that the rest of the season will go well.
“We are working hard off and on the field, and we will show how we can win games against the best in the division,” DiCesaro said.
The boys soccer team’s record is now 3-5.
The next game is on Tuesday against Upper St. Clair at Baldwin at 7:30 pm.
