Girls volleyball lost 3-0 against Upper Saint Clair Tuesday night.
Even with the loss, sophomore Mia Wyse stood out for Baldwin.
“USC had many tough hits and it was hard to block, but she was covering every single time,” senior Ella Reiche said.
Senior Katie O’Neill agreed.
“Every single ball that went to her, she got it up and was always on the move. There was never a ball that she let drop.”
Wyse also produced one of the biggest highlights of the game for Baldwin when she “got the dig in the middle-back,” O’Neill said.
Reiche pointed out another great moment.
“We were out of system one rotation and she was put in the front row. Mia was still able to pull through and make some great moves,” Reiche said.
The Highlanders know they need to make some improvements.
“Covering and putting the ball in smart places has been our biggest struggle. Compared to our past games, we are definitely starting to overcome it,” O’Neill said.
The team’s next game is Thursday against Mount Lebanon.
