The Baldwin golf team lost to Mt. Lebanon, 237-223, at South Hills Country Club on Tuesday.
One problem was getting off to a good start.
“We definitely need to be better off of the tee,” sophomore Gavin Sakely said.
The quality of the opponent posed another problem.
“Mt. Lebo is a good team,” he said. “They have a lot of guys that shoot low.”
Sakely said it was not a bad match for Baldwin, but there is need for improvement.
“I shot a 58, which isn’t great, but it was my first time playing the course,” he said.
Sakely said junior Zach Auel had a successful day.
“He shot a 44, which is his best at this course,” Sakely said.
The Highlanders will get a chance to redeem themselves today against Thomas Jefferson at Butler’s Golf Course.
