Baldwin’s Overwatch 2 esports team won their first round of playoffs against WC Bayard Rustin last week, 3-0.

Esports coach Nathan Elias is proud of the team’s efforts.

“We worked pretty well together,” Elias said. “They were talking well and communicating effectively.”

Elias said junior Annan Gurung was among the players who stood out.

“Annan was one of our key players during the game,” Elias said.

Elias also hopes the team strives for improvement for the next playoff game.

“We had a couple issues last week with not switching characters quickly enough and it put us at a bit of a disadvantage. But overall the games went pretty smoothly. We hope to bring that into our next game,” Elias said.

The team’s next playoff game is this week against New Hope Solebury.
