Lael Neale’s new album, Star Eaters Delight, does not disappoint.

This album features many references to the environment, nature, and spirituality. Musically, it features genres such as indie rock and melancholy folk.

Neale starts off the album with “I Am the River,” which has an upbeat tempo and multiple instrumental features. It has catchy lyrics and beats that are repeated throughout the song.

“In Verona” and “No Holds Barred” are slower-paced. Both of these songs’ essential messages relate to the concept of loving someone and the connection two people have with each other. These songs are good ones for romance fans to enjoy.

While some of her songs in the past tended to be slower-paced, now she writes more upbeat songs.

Overall this album is pretty solid, and indie rock and folk fans should definitely give it a listen.
