Softball loses to Butler
April 17, 2023
The Baldwin girls softball team lost 5-1 to Butler on Friday.
The team needed more offense, players said.
“I feel like we could have hit earlier in the game,” junior Anna Schumacher said.
Despite the score, Schumacher believes that the team’s energy helped them persevere through the game.
Junior Kiera Platz said the Highlanders had some strong moments.
“During the fifth inning we put some pressure on them by getting some hits,” Platz said.
Schumacher has hope for the rest of the season despite their rough start.
“We have about 10 games left in the season,” Schumacher said. “I hope we can keep our energy up throughout the season and keep trying.”
The Highlanders’ next game is Wednesday against Seneca Valley.
