The girls lacrosse team fell to Sewickley Academy 17-5 yesterday.

Senior attack Sam Rorison feels that the team could improve on communicating.

“It would help in making the ball flow easier and completing passes,” Rorison said.

Senior Marissa Bordone agreed.

“We could have come out better in the first half because we let them run up the score very early. Our defense was not communicating enough,” Bordone said.

Sewickley came out strong, shutting out Baldwin in the first half. The game took a positive turn in the second half when the Highlanders scored all five of their goals.

“Our second half was much better than the first. In the second half, we were able to score five times and limited their scoring,” Bordone said.

Bordone cites senior Taylor Bommer as a strong player throughout the game.

“She played really well the entire game, and both her passes and her catches were very smooth,” Bordone said.

Their next game is Wednesday at Peters Township.
