Baldwin softball lost to West Mifflin, 11-1, on Saturday.

Baldwin’s only run was scored by senior Grace Schumacher. Junior Lacey Bonetti said junior Anna Schumacher pitched a great game despite the loss. 

“Pitching that game was not easy and she really pushed herself,” Bonetti said. 

Even though the loss was tough, junior Keira Platz said the team played well.

“I think the whole team stood out,” Platz said. “We tried to come out strong with our energy.”

Despite the loss, the team hopes to make improvements for its next game.

“For our next game, we can communicate with each other and focus on the game more,” Platz said. 

Bonetti agreed.

“We just need to come together, work as a team, and be there for each other on and off the bench,” Bonetti said.
